TONE’s 5 Places To Eat This Week: June 15th

London’s dining scene is fully embracing summer. Rooftop terraces are back in full swing, tasting menus are becoming increasingly theatrical, and chefs across the city are introducing new concepts inspired by everything from Moroccan street food to Filipino heritage. This week’s selection takes diners from a Michelin-starred espionage-inspired experience at one of London’s most historic addresses to a French Riviera-inspired rooftop overlooking Canary Wharf.

Whether you’re planning a special occasion dinner, searching for a new Soho opening or simply looking for an excuse to indulge in one of London’s most talked-about desserts, these are the places worth booking this week.

For A Spy-Themed Michelin-Starred Tasting Menu: Mauro Colagreco at Raffles London at The OWO

What:

One of London’s most unique dining experiences has arrived at Raffles London at The OWO. Available until 27 June, Michelin-starred chef Mauro Colagreco’s new five-course Espionage Menu takes inspiration from the building’s fascinating history as the former Old War Office and its links to MI5, MI6, GCHQ and Ian Fleming’s James Bond legacy. Combining storytelling, theatrical presentation and seasonal British produce, the limited-edition experience explores themes of disguise, secrecy and global missions through every course.

Food:

Expect dishes including Camouflage, a lovage and mushroom risotto inspired by military concealment techniques, alongside Disguise & Intrigue, where grilled lobster tail is hidden beneath a delicate carrot veil. Other highlights include a hay-smoked rib eye revealed beneath aromatic smoke and The Ultimate Spy, a Vesper Martini-inspired dessert paying tribute to James Bond himself. The experience also includes a complimentary glass of Louis Roederer Champagne.
