There are plenty of steak dinners in London, but few deliver the same energy, atmosphere and sense of occasion as STK’s Steak Night. Available across selected London locations, the three course experience starting from £40 per person blends premium steakhouse dining with the high energy feel of a late night lounge, creating one of the capital’s most entertaining midweek dinner options.
STK has never been about understated dining. The brand has built its reputation on glamorous interiors, live DJs, theatrical presentation and an atmosphere that sits somewhere between luxury restaurant and nightlife destination. Steak Night taps directly into that formula, offering diners a more accessible way into the experience without compromising on quality or atmosphere.
The Atmosphere:
Walking into STK, the first thing you notice is the energy. The lighting is low, the music is loud without being overwhelming, and every detail feels designed to create momentum throughout the evening.
Unlike traditional steakhouses that lean heavily into dark wood and old school formality, STK feels modern, polished and deliberately social. Steak Night works particularly well because it does not feel like a stripped back set menu designed to fill quieter weekdays. Instead, the experience feels intentional and complete, with attentive service, well timed courses and a dining room that remains lively throughout the evening.
For date nights, birthdays or after work dinners, it strikes a balance many London restaurants struggle to achieve: premium without becoming stiff, energetic without becoming chaotic.
The Starters:
One of the most talked about dishes at STK remains the Lil’ Brgs, and after trying them, it is easy to understand why they have become something of a signature.
The wagyu beef sliders arrive in soft glossy buns with juicy patties and STK’s signature sauce delivering the perfect balance of smoky sweetness and savoury richness. They are indulgent without feeling overly heavy and work brilliantly as an opener before the steak arrives.

The Lil’ Brgs are known as one of the restaurant’s standout dishes, and they genuinely set the tone for the rest of the evening. They feel playful, slightly excessive and unmistakably STK.
Depending on the menu rotation, other starters may include lighter options such as salmon tacos or mushroom tempura or if wanting to stay on brand with the modern steakhouse classics wagu skewers are on offer, but the sliders remain the dish most diners return for.
The Main Course:
The centrepiece of Steak Night is the filet steak (£14 surcharge), cooked to your preference and served with STK’s signature sauce. For a set menu at this price point in central London, the quality feels impressive. The 200g filet is tender, lean and properly seasoned, while the sauce adds richness without masking the flavour of the meat itself.

One thing to note is how generous the portion feels compared to other London steakhouse deals. While sides are ordered separately, adding truffle fries, mac and cheese or creamed spinach transforms the meal into a full scale steakhouse experience. The truffle fries in particular have become something of a social media favourite and pair perfectly with the filet.
Compared with many premium London steakhouses where similar cuts can easily exceed double the price before drinks and sides, Steak Night feels like strong value while still maintaining the upscale experience STK is known for. Other options with no surcharge include the Flat Iron at 250G, roasted chicken, roasted salmon and a mushroom linguine so there is something for everyone!
Desserts:
STK does not do restrained desserts and that works entirely in its favor. Expect rich chocolate options, caramel heavy creations or creamy crowd pleasing classics such as the New York cheesecake, warm chocolate chip cookie which was recommended by the waiter and then of course the home favorite apple crumble. After a rich steak dinner and cocktails, dessert feels less optional and more like part of the full experience.
Cocktails and Drinks:
While the steak is naturally the headline attraction, the drinks programme is a major part of what makes Steak Night work so well. for a £20 surcharge you can add 2 cocktails or 2 glasses of wine to accompany your steak, which for London prices again feels generous! For the wines there was a choice for the house White, Red and Rose. For the cocktails there was a choice of two, the STK Cooler which was a Grey Goose base with a cool cucumber and mint flavour. The other option was the Spiced Watermelon which was tequila base with watermelon syurp a take on the classic maragrita.

The Verdict:
In a city filled with steak restaurants competing for attention, STK’s Steak Night succeeds because it understands exactly what its audience wants: great steak, strong cocktails, lively atmosphere and a sense of occasion without the premium tasting menu price tag. The combination of quality filet steak, polished service, energetic ambience and central London locations makes it one of the strongest value steak experiences currently available in the capital.
If you are looking for a traditional quiet steakhouse, this probably is not it. But if you want a steak dinner that feels vibrant, social and unapologetically indulgent, STK Steak Night absolutely delivers.
