Coppa Club Tower Bridge Unveils Its Summer Terrace

When the sun finally decides to make an appearance in London, there’s one thing every Londoner immediately starts searching for: a great terrace. Somewhere with uninterrupted views, good food, flowing cocktails and enough atmosphere to make you lose track of time. Few places tick every box quite like Coppa Club Tower Bridge.

Positioned directly on the banks of the River Thames, Coppa Club enjoys one of the capital’s most enviable locations. Sitting beside the Tower of London with panoramic views stretching across Tower Bridge, The Shard and London’s South Bank, it has long been a favourite for everything from weekend brunches to evening drinks. This summer, however, the riverside restaurant has given visitors another reason to return.

Its iconic igloos have been refreshed for the season with a more contemporary aesthetic. Gone are the spring botanicals, replaced with warm earthy tones, elegant furnishings and statement glass chandeliers that allow the spectacular riverside backdrop to remain the star of the show. The result feels more refined and perfectly suited to long summer evenings overlooking the Thames.

A summer launch filled with music, cocktails and riverside views

The launch of the new summer terrace unfolded against a backdrop of live music, flowing cocktails and golden-hour views across the Thames, setting the tone for an effortlessly elegant evening.

One of the most noticeable changes wasn’t just inside the redesigned igloos. Speaking with the Coppa Club team throughout the evening, we learned they had deliberately reduced the number of igloos this summer to create more standing space across the terrace. It’s a simple change, but one that completely transforms the experience.

Rather than every guest being tucked away inside a private dining pod, the terrace now feels more open, social and effortlessly relaxed. Guests can gather with drinks in hand, enjoy the live music and soak up the riverside setting together. It’s a thoughtful update that embraces everything summer in London should be about.

As the sun began to set behind Tower Bridge, it was easy to see why Coppa Club continues to be one of London’s most popular waterfront destinations.

Seasonal dishes designed for sharing

The food follows the same laid-back approach as the setting. Available throughout the day, the menu focuses on seasonal British ingredients while drawing inspiration from Mediterranean flavours.

Smaller plates make an ideal starting point, particularly the Cobble Lane ‘nduja and Pitchfork cheddar croquettes, alongside crisp salt and pepper squid served with coriander, lime and jalapeño aioli.

For those settling in for a longer lunch or dinner, there are plenty of dishes designed for sharing. The hot honey Somerset Camembert is made for leisurely afternoons with friends, while the vibrant spring garden mezze offers a lighter option that pairs perfectly with a glass of wine on the terrace.

Among the standout mains are the Devon crab linguine, combining samphire, lemon and Aleppo chilli for a bright seasonal dish, alongside slow-roasted lamb served with fregola, pomegranate and pistachio, balancing comforting flavours with fresh summer ingredients.

The menu feels approachable without sacrificing quality, making it just as suitable for a casual weekday lunch as it is for a celebratory evening overlooking the river.

One of London’s best riverside brunch spots

Weekends at Coppa Club have always been synonymous with brunch, and the summer menu continues that tradition.

Guests can choose from comforting classics with a seasonal twist, including harissa baked eggs and vibrant green shakshuka, while those with a sweeter tooth can opt for spiced French toast topped with clotted cream, strawberries, pomegranate and pistachio.

The peanut butter pancakes with banana and dark chocolate are another indulgent option, best enjoyed alongside speciality coffee or one of the restaurant’s fresh juices. Of course, for many, brunch naturally extends into cocktails, making it very easy to turn a late morning reservation into an afternoon spent watching boats drift along the Thames.

A London terrace worth returning to

Coppa Club

London has no shortage of beautiful terraces, but location alone isn’t enough to make somewhere memorable. The best outdoor spaces create an atmosphere people genuinely want to spend time in, and that’s exactly what Coppa Club Tower Bridge has achieved with its latest summer refresh.

By opening up more of the terrace for guests to mingle, modernising its signature igloos and continuing to deliver an all-day menu that suits everything from brunch to evening drinks, the restaurant has leaned into what people actually want from a London summer.

Whether you’re planning weekend brunch, after-work cocktails, dinner with friends or simply looking for one of the best riverside restaurants in London with views of Tower Bridge, Coppa Club remains one of the city’s standout destinations.

This season, it’s not just about dining with a view. It’s about slowing down, staying a little longer and making the most of summer by the river.
