1. For a Spring Terrace: Dalloway Terrace

What:Running from now until 12th May, the terrace is the perfect place to spend long hopefully sun-dappled afternoons with friends, celebrate special moments surrounded by beautiful blooms or simply linger over delicious cocktails in an idyllic springtime sanctuary in the heart of London.
Eat: The Elizabeth Scarlett Afternoon Tea is a celebration of British seasonality, inspired by Elizabeth Scarlett’s pressed flower motifs featuring rhubarb and hibiscus profiteroles and raspberry and rose mousse, as well as harissa chicken mayonnaise and smoked salmon pinwheel. While the Pomelle Apéritif cocktails list features a vibrant twist on the classics, with a Pomelle Spritz, a Pomelo Negroni and a Lychee Margarita.

2. For a New York style pizzeria: Alley Cats

What: Alley Cats, the cult New York–style pizzeria known for its 14-inch pies and neighbourhood energy, opened its newest restaurant at 233 Portobello Road . With the space set over 2 floors, passersby at ground level will find a walk-up “slice hatch” for direct grab-and-go service, offering individual 18-inch slices for those on the move plus full-service seating available upstairs.
Eat: New dishes which have been created while staying true to its New York spirit. Alongside the familiar 14-inch whole pies and classic slices, the Portobello Road menu will introduce their new Fat Cat Squares (Alley Cats own interpretation of Sicilian square pizza), a variety of sub sandwiches; including a Philly cheesesteak, deep-fried carbonara bites and a comforting aubergine parmigiana.

3. For a Lobster Club roll: Faber

What: Faber, the sustainable seafood restaurant, has unveiled its new Lobster Lunch Club, bringing Londoners an unforgettable sea‑to‑table experience. Say goodbye to boring meal deals and hello to fresh, native lobster caught daily from the shores of Wales and Cornwall.
Eat: For £18, indulge in melt‑in‑your‑mouth lobster rolls, tossed in garlic butter, paired with perfectly crisp matchstick fries, all wrapped up in a pillowy soft sub. This is lunch, elevated. But here’s the twist – because the lobster is caught fresh every morning and delivered in limited batches, the team at Faber are serving just 40 subs each lunchtime. Once they’re gone, they’re gone! The club runs Monday to Friday, 12–3pm via Click & Collect, so set your alarms, gather your colleagues, and get those orders in early.

4. For a Unique Sunday roast: The Great Indian

What: Nestled in a beautifully restored 1898 pub, The Great Indian redefines the gastropub experience combining all the warmth and hospitality of a beloved pub with a menu of innovative twists and reimagined favourites from Indian cuisine. The Great Indian introduces its unique twist on the traditional British Sunday roast, bringing together classic pub comfort with bold Indian flavours. Created by award-winning Chef Jolly the new menu ensures there is something for everyone:
Eat: There are 4 roasts to choose from- Slow-braised rolled lamb shoulder with a fragrant mace and rose aromatic sauce, Slow-roasted pork belly served with a rich vindaloo sauce, Half tandoor-roasted chicken paired with a creamy tomato and fenugreek sauce and The Great Indian Vegetable Pot Pie filled with seasonal vegetables.

5. For Late-Night Dining: Esmeralda’s

What:Located within Mandarin Oriental Mayfair in Hanover Square, the venue blends live music, elevated cocktails and indulgent late-night dining with unmistakable New York energy.
Eat: ASignature indulgences include Esmeralda’s truffle-Mornay hotdog, seven-way-cut mini beef burgers, and the already talked-about Caviar Nugget crowned with 5g of Ossetra caviar. Desserts remain unapologetically playful, from a towering strawberry sundae to a warm, gooey fudge brownie.
