Why Fazenda Bishopsgate Is the City’s Most Satisfying January Reservation

January is rarely about indulgence. It’s about restraint, spreadsheets, and sensible decisions — especially in the City. And yet, there are places that understand the mood perfectly: generous without excess, luxurious without guilt, and designed for diners who still want to eat well. Fazenda Bishopsgate is one of them.
Set across two polished floors inside the striking 100 Bishopsgate Tower, Fazenda Bishopsgate brings the drama and ritual of Brazilian churrasco into the Square Mile — all soaring ceilings, dark woods, soft leather and a low-lit confidence that feels more Milanese private club than corporate dining room. It’s a restaurant that knows exactly what it’s doing.
At its heart is Fazenda’s Churrasco Experience, a celebration of South American grilling traditions rooted in the Brazilian Pampas. Here, expertly trained passadores circulate the dining room, carving freshly grilled cuts directly at the table — each piece butchered, seasoned and cooked to achieve that signature contrast: a salty, charred crust giving way to a deeply juicy centre. The full experience (£65 per person, or £53 at lunch) includes an impressive rotation of fifteen cuts, from picanha and ribeye to pork belly and chicken hearts, alongside unlimited access to the Market Table — a refined spread of seasonal salads, vegetables and Brazilian sides that feels considered rather than obligatory.

For groups, there’s a more decadent side to the menu too. Think roasted bone marrow with sourdough and chimichurri, or a thick-cut, full-blood grade 9 Wagyu New York Strip designed for sharing — dishes that linger long after the plates have been cleared. And for those leaning lighter, an elegant à la carte selection spans grilled king prawns with spicy chimichurri, seafood moqueca enriched with coconut and tomato, and a clever tonnato vitello pairing yellowfin tuna with a silky beef emulsion.
While the experience is available all year, January is when Fazenda really comes into its own.
The restaurant’s Single Cut Churrasco Experience feels particularly well suited to the month ahead. It is a streamlined yet deeply satisfying way to enjoy everything the kitchen does best, priced at £39 for both lunch and dinner. Diners choose one standout cut from picanha, rump, pork collar, lamb picanha or roasted chicken, carved tableside and served continuously, with full access to the Market Table included. It is generous without being heavy, unfussy but full of flavour, and quietly excellent. Ideal for business lunches, relaxed midweek dinners, or anyone craving comfort and quality after the excess of December.

Drinks matter here, too. Fazenda’s wine list champions South America’s best bottles from Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, while the bespoke cocktail menu leans into inventive, spirit-forward serves that feel grown-up and unfashionably good. Between 3pm and 7pm daily, both the restaurant and its standalone ground-floor bar, Fino, offer a happy hour that makes lingering feel almost sensible.
In a month defined by pared-back plans and careful choices, Fazenda Bishopsgate offers something better than austerity: balance. It’s indulgent without being reckless, polished without being pretentious, and — crucially — worth leaving the house for. If January dining had a dress code, this would be black cashmere and excellent boots.
